Together we create a stronger International Aarhus

Aarhus is on an important journey towards becoming an even more global and welcoming city for international citizens and employees. This journey can only succeed through close collaboration between those who work dedicatedly within this field.

For this reason, Hello Aarhus and Citizen Service, Aarhus Municipality, invite you to a workshop where we will together take the next step in developing the city’s international efforts — building on the foundation established at the two workshops we held in 2025.

What?

During the workshop, we will cover the following:

• Keynote presentation by Jakob Lindmark Frier, COO, Digital Hub Denmark, who will share key insights into why internationals leave Denmark, based on the current Exit Interviews project.
• Introduction to the purpose of the workshop as part of Aarhus Municipality’s strategy for the recruitment and retention of international talent.
• Presentation of the city’s new umbrella organisation for the international focus area, Hello Aarhus, operated by Erhverv Aarhus and funded by The City of Aarhus.
• Continuation of our collaborative efforts to create a shared overview of the city’s international activities by mapping initiatives, identifying overlaps and gaps, and uncovering new opportunities for collaboration.
  
  

You are invited because, as an active stakeholder in attracting, onboarding and retaining international employees — or as a company with experience or curiosity in this area — you bring valuable perspectives on how we can create stronger collaborations and increase visibility.

The final programme for the day will be shared in the week leading up to the workshop.
