VisitAarhus - The Volunteer Programme ReThinkers

"The tourist organization VisitAarhus host a city-volunteer programme called ReThinkers – and we are honoured to be nominated for the Go Glocal People's Choice Award. We support tourism, sport events and the cultural wheels in general in Aarhus. We are more than happy to speak English, and every month we have an introduction meeting for newcomers - you are very welcome. We want to Go Glocal with Film I Skoven and their fantastic film festival for children."


Pro Pace Aarhus International Choir

"Pro Pace is an international music community based in Aarhus. It is not just an amateur choir but organization integrating internationals living in Denmark. The choir members come from all over the world and sing in many different languages. Everyone is welcome to join, regardless of nationality, age, education, religion etc. The diversity is more than welcome! Our goal is to integrate Danes and internationals through music and share our joy with others, especially with those in need of good vibes.”

Jutland Station

"Jutland Station is an online publication run by a group of volunteer journalists driven by the passion for their profession and by the ambition to provide their readers with a strong blend of reporting and commentary. It is the only English magazine focused on covering the current affairs of Aarhus and Jutland area. Using innovative storytelling, photography, audio & video coverage, Jutland Station helps to build bridges between the internationals and the Danish community by offering an insightful perspective on the life of both Danes and foreigners residing in this region."

University International Club (UIC)

"The UIC is a club at Aarhus University for international academic staff as well as their families and friends. In this international community, internationals and Danes meet for both social and professional networking. The UIC assists newcomers settle in Aarhus, as new friendships make a good start when being new in a city."


Expat Reception

"We are honored to be nominated for The People's Choice Award at the Go Glocal Conference. Expat Reception is an annual event hosted by Aarhus Festival, International Community and partners where expats and their families can enjoy themselves in an informal and festive setting and feel welcome and connected in Aarhus.



"Samværd is the association behind 'Leg på Plejehjem', which hosts playgroups for babies and their parents every week in 13 nursing homes in Aarhus. We believe in the magic of bringing different people together."


The International

"The International is a publication targeted at Denmark’s expat community. It offers compelling and constructive content in an easily accessible way to help expats find their feet in Denmark. The monthly issues are the product of a group of expats and Danes who have many years’ experience in the media and publishing industry in Denmark. The International focuses on topics that are important to expats wanting to make a go of life in Denmark. Each issue brings readers personal accounts and journeys of others who have come to call Denmark home."
